The Richmond Museum of History is a non-profit organization and relies solely on the support of the community. We generate income through annual paid memberships and through fund-raising activities. As a member of the Museum Association, you will receive our quarterly newsletter and be eligible to a 10 percent discount on all gift shop items.

Poster with train and refinery You will also receive advance notice and discounts on events both at the museum and on our ship, the Red Oak Victory. You will also gain the satisfaction of knowing that you are supporting a worthy organization, dedicated to the preservation of the memories and history of the town we all love. If you are not yet a member, please consider printing out the Membership Form, and mailing it in with your check.

The Museum also relies on the residents (and former residents) of Richmond for donations to its collection of artifacts and photographs. We are interested in anything that relates to the city's past, but because of space limitations we must screen what is offered. If you have something that you know or suspect is associated with our history and would like to donate that item to the museum, please give us a call during our open hours.

A few simple questions will tell us what we need to know. But remember, if in doubt, call. Even the most seemingly ordinary things can be of great significance to the local researcher or historian.
